How do I get the labs done?
After you log into the Course, you will see a lesson with the link to order a standard panel of labs online. You get a discount for ordering the whole panel, but you can also order them a la carte if you have had some of them done recently and don't want to repeat them. Then, you schedule an appointment at a local Quest to have the blood draw done. You will get results directly from Quest; I do not receive a copy of your results.
How much do the labs cost?
The standard panel is approximately $500-$600. If you go to your doctor and ask them to run the labs for you, then insurance will pay for a portion of the cost (depending on insurance copays and deductibles, etc.). However, not all doctors will be willing or able to order the exact set of labs that you need, so most people simply go through the link.
How do I find out what to do about my lab results?
There is a Labs Manual in the Course for you to download and keep. In addition, there are several videos for you to watch that explain exactly what to do in more detail. Some of the solutions are as easy as taking a supplement, whereas other solutions involve more extensive lifestyle change.
Can I just get the list of labs without taking the Course?
No, I do not believe that we can google the results of our tests and expect our health to improve. It requires expert guidance in order for you to see the improvement that you need.
Can I order functional medicine tests through this Course?
Yes, when you register for the Course, you also get access to specialty labs that are not available through Quest or your doctor, and they are not covered by insurance. This includes gut tests, toxin testing, mold testing, and hormonal testing.
